LVRA - IN YOUR BLOOD

IN YOUR BLOOD is the ninth single by 22-year-old singer and producer Rachel Lu who performs under the moniker of LVRA (pronounced loo-rah). Lu was born in Edinburgh to Chinese parents, and her debut EP ‘LVCID’ blended samples of traditional Chinese instruments.

In 2021, LVRA won The Sound of Young Scotland Award at the Scottish Album of the Year ceremony and has fans on either side of the Atlantic, including lead singer of CHVRCHES and fellow Scot, Lauren Mayberry.

As well as the IN YOUR BLOOD released as a single, LVRA also kicked off 2022 with a new collection of IN YOUR BLOOD remixes, featuring TAAHLIAH, Effy, Jessica Winter and KAVARI.

LVRA said about the new single “I think this song feels like taking a shot of adrenaline. At some point when we are so far into our animal selves we become lethal creatures. Sometimes in a club I feel like it’s fight or flight that moves my body, as if I’m possessed. It’s the only time apart from sleep when I can switch off. I want people to feel that shit when they listen to my music.”
